Original Art Suncatcher Hanging

Brilliant colors suncatcher hanging, perfect for any window. May be used indoors or outdoors— although for shade or filtered sunlight is best.

This is a reverse glass alcohol ink painting. Thick plate glass is treated with several coats of UV protection (so the color does not fade from light), then several coats of varnish. The ink is painted, and after drying the ink is coated with UV, then varnish, and then the painting is sealed with another thick plate of glass. The glass is sealed then framed with red cedar.

The cedar wood has been treated with an exceptional tung nut oil finish. This measures 13 1/2 inches long, with the copper hook. The frame measures 9 1/2 X 9 1/2 inches.

This has 2 sides, with each side looking quite different. The pictures show side A, detail side A, side B, Detail side B, and the copper hook.
