The five handmade genuine copper chimes (not inexpensive powder coated aluminum) have a gorgeous finish that will never peel or flake, because they are solid, real copper. The chimes measure between 17 and 13 inches long. When a breeze pushes the beach stone clapper, or striker, agains the chimes, they produce calming sound, unlike large aluminum chimes that often initially impress, but many find eventually overpowering. Copper tends to blend more harmoniously with the environment, producing relaxing tones. The windsail is made of solid polished copper, and all hardware is made from copper rather than string or plastic fishing line. The wood that holds the chimes is solid oiled cedar, not the usual plywood which tends to delaminate.
